Now available: PharmAccess Progress Report 2021

With this Progress Report we proudly present highlights and the impact we made, together with our partners, in 2021.

2021 has been another extraordinary, turbulent year. Low and middle-income countries, including those in sub-Saharan Africa, have suffered severe pandemic-related health and socio-economic consequences.

Healthcare is a global priority. At PharmAccess, we therefore intensified our call for solidarity between the Global North and the Global South. The pandemic highlights the critical need to build strong, resilient and inclusive health systems, worldwide. We are grateful for those sharing our mission to strengthen Africa’s healthcare systems, so they can deliver for everyone.

NCD-RisC paper on global trends in risk factors for non-communicable diseases
The Non-Communicable Disease Risk Factor Collaboration (NCD-RisC) has collected and analysed data from over 2,545 population-based studies in almost 200 countries, on major risk factors for non-communicable diseases. The Amsterdam Institute for Global Health and Development (AIGHD) and PharmAccess contributed to this research by delivering data from their impact evaluations in Nigeria and Namibia.
