The Medical Credit Fund believes it is of importance to be transparent for all its donors, partners and the general public. It has developed a results overview to be able to communicate the most important results and lessons learned. This results page will enable the public to see the progress made. The dashboard covers three different fields namely; patients and care, loans and capacity building. These three fields are in line with the goal to book impact on the financial (section loans), medical (patients & care) and social (capacity building) section.
A local financial institute is engaged to provide the loans within the Medical Credit Fund. In the 'loans' result page the Medical Credit Fund shows the number of disbursed loans, the disbursed loan amounts, the retributed loan amounts, the average interest rate and the number of local bank partners.
In the 'patients & care' result page the countries are shown in which the MCF operates, the number of clinics in the program, the total number of patients treated, the top 3 diseases treated at these clinics and the number of healthcare staff at clinics.
Capacity building is a conceptual approach to development and focuses on understanding the obstacles that inhibit among others non-governmental organizations from realizing developmental goals while enhancing the abilities that will allow them to achieve measurable and sustainable results. Capacity building often refers to strengthening the skills, competencies and abilities of people and communities in developing societies so they can overcome the causes of their exclusion and suffering.
